This lovely decorative plate has a colorful hand-painted red, blue, green and brown duck floating near the mossy green shore. Mark on back reads Limoges, B&H, France. Blakeman & Henderson, a decorating company in New York, commissioned high quality porcelain including dinnerware from the Limoges region of France in the late 1890s to early 1900s. Ten inches in diameter. Unfortunately, this piece has some damage. Two chips on the left hand rim of the plate and a scratch to the surface right behind the duck’s back and tail (see photos). Could be repaired or just enjoy as is. Positioned on a shelf with other items, the chips could be hidden. Too beautiful not to salvage.
