This small primitive farm stool would be great for porch or garden. Probably made in the 1890s or so, its original red paint is in pretty good shape, considering its age. Very authentic and charming, the corners of the stool have actually worn away over many, many years of its hard-working life. Put together with many nails along each side. Very solid and heavy. Charming inverted triangle cut into the bottom edge on sides. Couldn’t be more scarred and worn. This was probably a milking stool or step stool for reaching high in the barn. Top measures 16″ by 8.5″. Stands 13″ off the ground. Perfect plant stand or foot stool on a rustic porch.
