Well, this is unusual! We’ve never seen an antique coffee pot quite like this one. Dating from about 1900, the antique black metal coffee pot with pewter handle is a real show stopper. Quite large, it stands 11 inches high and the base is 6 inches in diameter. Hinged lid is attached. Not enamelware, it has a matte black surface. The main body and spout are tin or thin iron, painted or plated in black. The surface is a bit chippy and scratched, but overall in very condition. No dents or dings. Welded construction. The silver color handle appears to be made of pewter, and has a beautiful scrolled shape and darkened patina. Probably English, it almost looks like a tankard handle. The primitive hinge for the lid is fully functional. There is some rust inside and a few tiny holes around the bottom seam. Looks like the name Knight is written on the base. This is the absolute perfect rustic primitive vase for some fall flowers. Just pop a glass insert inside and you’re ready to go.
