How unusual and beautiful this hand painted Victorian tray is! It appears to be a watercolor painting of a centerpiece in a shapely gold vase, on board and under glass. We think the tray frame is wood, painted with some kind of gesso to give it texture. The blue paint on the frame is worn away just enough to give it a crackle paint look. We don’t know how old the tray is, but it definitely has a Victorian look. It has sturdy handles on each side and the entire piece measures 21 inches wide by 14 inches high. The back is covered in very old fabric and has four small feet. There is a newer picture hanger on the top of the back. If you have a kitchen with blue accents, this would be a lovely piece of art to hang on the wall or prop-up on the counter.
