This lovely vintage Grindley Autumn platter is the perfect serving piece for your fall feast. Gorgeous large and heavy platter is trimmed with beautiful hand painted leaves and flowers in gold, orange, green and brown on a cream background. This style of ironstone was called Creampetal. Art Deco style side handles are decorated in green and gold. Probably made in the 1940s, the platter is stamped with the Grindley sailing ship mark on the back, which was used from 1936 – 1954. The company was founded in 1880 by William Grindley, of Tunstall, Stoke-On-Trent, England. The large platter measures 16.75 inches wide by 13.5 inches high. This platter is in like-new condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The decoration is in excellent shape with very little or no fading or scratches. Just a beautiful centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table.
