Wow! What a beautiful doorstop! This large cast iron doorstop made in 1938 by RIFE-LOTH CORP OF WAYNESBORO, VA, depicts world famous saddlebred show horse Kings Genius, who was one of the greatest Saddlebred sires of all time. The horse’s stance is beautiful, the head is regal, and the tail erect. This large doorstop or bookend measures 12 inches tall to top of ears, 12 inches wide and 3 inches deep. It is one solid piece of casting and is quite heavy. Retains its original all black paint and has a lovely patina. The name Kings Genius is molded into the front of the base. It has a molded makers mark on the back that reads, COPYRIGHTED – 1938 RIFE-LOTH CORP WAYNESBORO, VA. Beautiful display piece or doorstop and the best gift for a horse lover!
