Antique Applique Sampler

Lovely old Victorian applique sampler framed behind glass. This vase of flowers applique picture is housed in an antique wood frame with cut-out leaf motifs on the four corners. The applique is all felt, with a black felt background, olive green vase, sage green leaves, and eight red flowers with cream centers. All is hand-sewn with gold thread. The frame measures 15.5 inches wide and 13.5 inches high to the outer corners. Inside measurement is 9.5 inches wide by 7.25 inches high. The frame has a thin layer of whitewash paint over a light brown original color. The white paint is chippy as seen in the photos. Otherwise in very good antique condition with no damage to the frame or the applique. Applique is not faded and colors are strong. There is a hole in the back of the wood frame for hanging. The perfect authentic antique farmhouse/cottage wall decor!
