We’re always so excited when we find one of these antique Adirondack smoking stands. They are among the best, most iconic Adirondack decor pieces you can buy! Bentwood, folk art, log cabin smoking stands are the quintessential Adirondack decor pieces and are extremely rare. This one is quite detailed, hand-made of twig construction and decorated with hand painted silver metallic paint along the path and on the ends of the log cabin. Love the twig trim along the path to the front door. Probably made in the early 1900s, it has a natural dark brown rustic patina. The lid of the log cabin is a lighter brown and does not lift off. It may have been replaced. This is where cigarettes or pipes or tobacco was stored. There is also a small piece of wood on the left hand side on which a box of matches was placed, and an open area on the right for an ashtray. Twig base is made from 4 sticks with bentwood twig accents on all four sides. Bonus is a bottom twig shelf, which we don’t usually see. Measures 23.5 inches high to the top of the cabin roof. Tabletop measures 10 inches by 10 inches. Square base is 11 inches on each side. In very good antique condition with a little damage to the bark on the bottom of the legs and wear to the silver paint. Originally made as an Adirondack souvenir, it can now be used as a side table and will add tremendous authenticity, charm and character to any lodge, cabin or camp decor.
